RCLCO and John Burns Real Estate Consulting (two major consulting firms specializing in real estate) have recently published a list of US master-planned communities that sold the best in 2022. All of the top three locations are in Florida.
According to RCLCO, Florida accounted for 46% of sales among all rated residential projects. Texas was the second with 30%.
Unsurprisingly, many positions in these rankings coincide with Florida cities deemed best for retiring.
For instance, The Villages in Central Florida holds the nationwide sales record with 3,923 homes sold. The prime location of this community with numerous amenities customized for the elderly puts it in the leading position in the sales rating for the fifth time.
Lakewood Ranch came second with 1,846 purchase & sale transactions. Located only a few minutes’ trip away from Sarasota beaches, it sells the best among master-planned communities that allow residents of all ages. Literally all types of homes are available in this district, from snug condominiums to single-family houses worth upwards of $400,000.
1,034 residences were sold in the community of Silverleaf located in St. Augustine. It is suitable for people of any age too.
