Every fourth home buyer in the United States (25.4%) wants to come to another state within the country. Five districts of Florida are among the top 10 most desirable cities in the United States for buying real estate. Among them are Miami, Tampa, Orlando, North Port (Sarasota) and Cape Coral.
Due to the increase in mortgage rates, some buyers have refused to buy real estate this year. However, this did not affect migration within the country. Florida remains consistently attractive to residents of more expensive megacities, such as Chicago and New York.
In general, the total number of buyers of real estate in 2023 decreased. At the same time, migrants to the south within the country who prefer various states with a pleasant mild climate and year-round sunshine, including Florida, make up the largest percentage among all buyers of residential properties.
