In 2022, Airbnb made $76 million on home rentals in Miami-Dade

Last year, landlords from Miami-Dade (Florida) made about $76 million by leasing out their properties on the Airbnb platform. The rental revenues in Osceola County reached approximately $64 million. Florida investors in general earned over $3 billion on Airbnb over the year.

As per a recent report by Airbnb, an average family from Osceola made $14,700 by renting out their home in 2022. This county is No. 2 in Florida by rental revenue. The leader by home rental yield is Miami-Dade with $76 million—the best performance in the state, Airbnb says.

A property owner from Miami-Dade has shared that he converted some of the premises at home. The man was creative and turned one of the bedrooms into a cinema. According to him, booking his home costs $395-495 per day depending on the dates.

It should be noted that Osceola charges a tax on short-term rentals and spends the money on tourism development. Florida counties agree on this type of tax with rental platforms on a case-by-case basis.
