Foreigners bought $6.8 billion worth of housing in South Florida in 2022

Miami's welcoming and diverse community attracts buyers from all over the world, and their number is only growing. Last year, buyers from abroad purchased residential real estate in South Florida in the amount of $6.8 billion, which is 34% more compared to $5.1 billion in 2021.

According to the latest global study by the Miami Association of Realtors, buyers from 54 countries are actively buying real estate in South Florida. South Florida accounts for about 10% of all international home sales each year. As for the cost of real estate in Miami, housing prices in the first quarter increased by 7.7% compared to the same period last year.
