The analytical platform Stacker conducted research and published a list of cities with the most expensive residences in Florida based on data from the multiple listing service Zillow. They used the Zillow Home Values Index of residential properties for August 2022.

A standard home in this rating’s most expensive city costs $8,453,650, which is 1,985% more than the state average of $405,489.

Here are the metropolitan areas with the greatest number of cities from Florida’s top 30 locations with the most expensive housing:

  1. Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach;
  2. Cape Coral-Fort Myers;
  3. Key West;
  4. North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton;
  5. Port St. Lucie;
  6. Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin;
  7. Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford;
  8. Sebastian-Vero Beach.

Along with this information, the list of Florida cities with the fastest-growing house prices was also published. Changes in value were calculated based on data from Zillow over the past 12 months ending in June 2022. Information about 634 towns and cities in Florida was available. The value of residence in the city at the top of this rating over the above period grew by $2,285,082.
