According to a recent study, one of the most affordable suburbs in the country to buy a property was Medley in Miami-Dade County.
The study examined 20 major U.S. cities with the highest average home prices. Miami came in 14th place in the generated list - the average real estate price is $565,000. The average cost per square foot there is $445.
In Medley, the average price per square foot is $154, which is 65% less than in Miami. According to the research methodology, this makes Medley the most affordable suburb in the country next to a megacity in which the housing market can be described as "hot".
Other suburbs from the list of the 20 most affordable are located on the outskirts of New York, Boston, Seattle and Washington, DC.
