The most expensive South Florida properties are leased for $225,000– $350,000 per month

The Real Deal agency analyzed rental data on Redfin and Realtor.com and compiled a ranking of 10 most expensive properties for rent. Most of them are located on the oceanfront in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Almost all are single-family houses. The asking rent ranges from $225,000 to $350,000 per month. Dozens of homeowners are asking for $100,000 per month. Meanwhile, some cities have introduced restrictions on short-term rent. For instance, single-family houses in Miami Beach may only be rented for six months and a day or longer.

Ami Shashoua, CEO at QPay (a fintech firm), has listed his oceanfront mansion in Miami Beach for rent for $350,000 per month. The owner is also ready to part with his property for good for $75 million. The opulent seven-bedroom mansion boasts a floor area of 725 sq m and numerous amenities, from a swimming pool to a specially equipped “chef’s kitchen”.

Another example of a luxurious property is an estate on Star Island Drive in Miami Beach leased for $325,000 per month. The 3,640 sq m land plot on the ocean coast accommodates two houses. The first one was designed by Walter De Garmo in 1924 and has three bedrooms. The other, more contemporary six-bedroom house was built in 2019. It features a gym, a swimming pool, a spa, a cold-water plunge pool, and a massage room.

This analysis shows that opulent rental homes are still in demand in the Florida market and yield substantial income for their owners.
