Trinsic Residential Group may build a residential project in Fort Lauderdale

Trinsic Residential Group may build a residential project near the 4-star Westin Fort Lauderdale Hotel. On August 9, the city’s Development Review Committee will consider the plans for this project. The building may be located on a 6.8-acre land plot at 400 Corporate Drive.

Representatives of the Dallas-based Trinsic Residential Group shared that upon completion, the project will feature 340 apartments. For the developer to begin construction, the local authorities must change the permitted land use from “mid-rise residential property with 25 units per acre” to “mixed-use residential property with 60 units per acre”. This requires approval of both the city and the county committee.

The draft layout features a swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a co-working space. More detailed information about the building will be provided later. The residential project will be called Aura Cypress Creek. Nectaria Chakas, an attorney from Fort Lauderdale who represents the developer, was not available for comments.

“Changing the land use rules will turn this land plot into a well-designed mixed-use project featuring residences, hotel apartments, conference halls, restaurants, shops, and offices,” the developer declares. “Building this project is a sensible way to use this land plot, taking into account its proximity to the I95 / Cypress Creek Tri-Rail commute and bus stops.”

The rent in Fort Lauderdale is growing at record rates, so many construction firms are eager to start building apartment blocks in this city. There is little available land left in Broward County for such projects.
